~ True Lies ~

All the Social Media Gurus & Managers, how would you deal with such a scenario.

There's just one problem: The story that sparked this social media firestorm may not be accurate. How do you restore the image of the Business once it has taken negative publicity even though the whole thing has gone viral?

What would you do to recover from social media mob or backlash? Most of the times, technology could be a catalyst for your business. At times, they do have side-effects.

With the current influence of Social Media, it becomes very difficult to control the virality of news about your business, especially if it is a negative news, although you can take enormous advantage to get the word out in both the cases.

It will always be best option to try out an honest approach. It may turn out to be risk in the Social Media, but safer in-terms that you are not doing any more mistakes but just being honest. Of-course the intellectual thought has to be put in before strategizing any plan after such a crisis.

@Ranjit,

Social Media can get you a lot of attention. Be it negative or positive.

As the author of the original article and so have you mentioned, that the Business should not shy away from doing what is right and setting an example.
